FormCanary · Agency guide
A responsible way to monitor client lead forms.
The early warning for your lead forms.
FormCanary is a simple, ongoing website lead-form monitoring option for agencies. Use this guide to set expectations, keep authorization clear, and read each result for what it actually shows.
Before a check
1. Get permission from the right owner
The site owner, or an agency acting with the client’s authorization, must approve the form, test data, and monitoring schedule before any test submission is made.
2. Use agreed test details
Use test data and a test email address you control or are authorized to use. Keep the client informed about what the form test submits and where its notification should go.
3. Choose the agreed cadence
Keep the schedule explicit with the client. This guide does not promise a default interval or a particular monitoring schedule.
What a result means
Test submission: Accepted
This means the form accepted that authorized test entry. It does not prove that a notification email reached its intended inbox.
Test submission: Not accepted
Report this only when an authorized test was run and its failure was observed. Describe the test result; do not generalize it into a claim that the form is broken.
Notification delivery: Unverified
Keep delivery as “Unverified” unless someone with authorized access to the receiving inbox confirms the notification arrived. Form acceptance alone is not inbox evidence.
Unsupported forms
CAPTCHA and bot-protected forms are unsupported.
Do not solve, bypass, or evade CAPTCHA or other bot protections. Mark a protected form unsupported and leave its controls intact.
